Anyone ever heard this guy?? Absolutely killin'. He is only 21, but has already toured with Jeremy Pelt in Europe, and just got picked up by Greg Osby. Check out www.peltjazz.com, and go to the downloads section (all the tunes are free to download). I recommend "The Endless Possibility". Lets hear what you think about this guy. I personally think he's tearin' it up.

I would download "the endless possibility" first. then hit up the tune "deadline". also check out "the haunting". This guy is ridiculous! Actually, the whole band is smokin'. I was just curious if anybody on this site had heard of Tommy. (he's from my hometown St. Louis, that's why I was curious). Very cool, just wanted to know what you all think. Peace!

I saw Jeremy Pelt with The Ravi Coltrane Quintet a few years ago in NYC at the Iridium. I honestly thought he was the weakest link in the band. He wasn't making the changes, and Steve Hass' complicated drumming and Lonnie Plaxico's obscure bass lines were losing him.
Is he on tour supporting this C.D?
I've heard of Tommy Crane but have never heard his playing. Nice stuff, swingin' with an aggressive vibe kind of reminds of Tane. He's got some nice funk chops too on "Black Conscience".
Pelt used to play with this bad, bad dude named Charles Haynes. This guy can kill on just about any style of music. He sounds like a mix between Tane, Dennis, and Questlove. I think he's playing with the jazz singer Kevin Mahogany now. He's also on a fusion cd with Steve Hunt. I saw Charles, Steve Hass, and Antonio Sanchez my first week in Berklee in 95'. It was pretty much [img]eek.gif[/img] and then [img]rolleyes.gif[/img] for whole week. [img]wink.gif[/img]
