Hey guys, just wanted to tell the world (Well the ones who care http://www.hostboard.com/ubb/wink.gif) That I am actually running 9psi (not barely but strong) with my 8psi pulley and have the timing set at 10 degrees and on;y have 2 flickers of the J&S in the mid rpm range for a slpit second. I just changed over to the "Orange Stuff" ant-freeze with about a 40% mix and it keeps the car alittle cooler then b4. I'm not saying that the orange stuff is the best (it is better then the green) but I have noticed a difference. I completely dusted off a 300ZX bad enough that he didn't even want any more. I honked and waved for him to do it again and he turned off as fast as he could. Well I have to run but damn, I LOVE THIS CAR! LATE

What other mods do you have as I have to run about 10 to eliminate detonation at 6psi and have the same results on the safeguard. Intake, exhaust? Would these help ?
-
Airmass Headers, Thermal Exhaust, AEM intake, Skunkworks gears (0,0 till I can dyno) Nology coil amplifier. Everything else is normal. I am running 52-53 psi at idle and vac is 20-22 at idle depending on rpm. I have the J&S set at about 10 o-clock. No audible ping, no J&S ping, so no prob http://www.hostboard.com/ubb/smile.gif I just need to get the injectors, but not until we come up with the off boost pressure problems. I hope the OLDONE gets those pics and instructions up soon so I can get the injectors. Does anybody have priving on Venom injectors? Maybe not quit 310's but 280 or 290's. The plug and play sounds like fun http://www.hostboard.com/ubb/smile.gif

I might try it but I am worried about getting the timing back to 10 degrees after the change. That is governing the amount of tuning I can do with the gears http://www.hostboard.com/ubb/frown.gif O-well I might try tommorow but gotta go to bed.

You realize that you're getting 9 PSI because you've got exhaust restrictions right? This is why some people see 7.5 PSI with the 6 PSI kits until they install new exhaust mods. I bet you drop to 8 PSI with Kamakazi headers.

Timing on the gears won't change the timing of the crank and the ignition.
-
Move the Intake one to +3 degrees. You'll feel it. You'll have to tune the rest out for more power, but you'll feel that cause advancing the intake is a win-win on all installations I've seen, including mine.

On the Si kit, we see about 9 to 9.5 psi on the stock pulley and around 12-13psi on the 8psi pulley. Damn, that's a lot of back pressure restriction!
-
Damn is that restrictive or what on the Si kits. Is that with all factory exhaust and header? As for the realization Silvo, it loomed in my mind but now my bubble has officially been popped http://www.hostboard.com/ubb/frown.gif O-well, she is hella fast man, so I don't care (read in a pouty tone http://www.hostboard.com/ubb/smile.gif) As for the timing not changing, my timing changes everydamn time I change the gear settings. Anybody else beside me experience this?

on the Venom injectors,
Give Jim Helbing a call at 205-798-0112
He sells them and that is what we put on the
last car we just tuned. Unplug old ones, put in new ones, plug back in http://www.hostboard.com/ubb/smile.gif
