Does anyone know where I could buy an eskimo costume for one of our dolls? We have the dogsled and dog, but I'm really not crazy about the dogsled outfit, and I thought an eskimo outfit with a fur trimmed hood would look cute.

Maybe Sail Away will chime in here since she lives in Alaska.
When we lived there when I was a child, they had lots of stuff like doll eskimo clothes for sale there.

I could make you one. Someone sent me a pattern for Eskimo-style clothes which I've never tried but it has the distinctively shaped hooded parka, pants, boots, etc. I can probably find whatever color fur you would want in my teddybear fake fur collection, which I haven't used for a while. If you're interested, PM me about it. I've come to the sad conclusion that it's time to pay the piper or sing for my supper or whatever, so I will make one-of-a-kind doll costumes if requested. I have no interest in sewing doll clothes for ebay because I already have a boring full-time job, but unique costumes would be fun.
I never saw this post! But could probably help out.
I saw one on ebay once but I don't remember the seller's name.
You may want to search using the name "Inuit" as that is actually their name.
Well, Upik,Chupik,inuit,....there are tons of them. I will do some looking around town and see what I can come up with. if not I alteast have patterns.
I have a pattern that has an Eskimo outfit on it. I've been re-organizing my sewing room and will try and locate it tonight.
