I watched some of it, they brought up some good questions while confronting their father/manager.
What do you mean what happened when she walked off stage? The band kept playing and then they cut to an early commercial break... then after the show at the credits she blamed her band for the error.
Basically they are trying to cash in on Ashlee and make her the anti-Jessica (like an Avril) and Ashlee is just not cut-out for it yet.
Funny enough she had a gig after the SNL appearance and they staged another screw-up as a joke... did you see that on 60mins? "Hey, guys... this is the wrong song... wrong song... just kidding!" lol - so dumb.
Chris,
Can I borrow your time machine when your done with it?
I think your talking about the 20/20 piece that was on last night. The 60 Minutes piece isn't until Sunday.
That would have been the best time to hit on her... i bet she was the most approachable person in the world right after that. Wait a minute, she would have to be hot for me to want to hit on her... or atleast be able to sing and sound hot...
I'm not sure what really happened with that whole thing, but rest assured as a drummer that has been practicing my craft for 20 years, it pains me to see crap like that on live TV. Did any of you see the awards show on last week (Radio City Music Awards?) where Destinys Child opened the show? The were dancing up a storm and running up and down the aisles of the auditorium, all the while singing (lip syncing) in perfect pitch. When the song ended, Beyonce (sp) was all out of breath while welcoming everybody to the show. I mean REALLY out of breath.
I can't believe what the public falls for and accepts on a regular basis disguised as talent and music.
Back in the day, when you went into the studio, the engineers set up the mics and the band took a pass at the tune. The band had to be good. The singer had to be good. Time was money and all that tape cost something..
What happened?????
<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">LMAO! Daniel, I'm sorry to say, but I don't really have a time machine and if I did then I'd probably go back rather than forward in time.Quote:

Yeah I guess it was 20/20, similar show to 60 Minutes, eh?

I couldnt watch it wither. All I saw was the previews on her walking through back stage in a unhappy mood.
I wanted to see it but I had to flee my house or else I'd had to give out candy!
According to 60 Mins, they were doing a SNL piece already when this AS thing occurred...SO, they were right there for the whole thang. I found the process interesting and really intense (they pitch over 40 skits and reduce to 11--that's A LOT of ideas and writing). Also, there is no improv stuff--it's ALL written out on cards. So...this wasn't a high point for SNL at all...it's never happened. Elvis Costello had a mishap once and rolled it out like a pro, making a blunder actually cool. But nobody has ever walked off. 60 Mins were rolling camera when it happened live and they showed A.S. singing from inside the booth and when she walked there was shock at SNL (staff members with hands over mouth type shock). To Simpson's defense, she did run off during the Sat rehearsal crying stating her voice hurt badly which might have led to the decision to lip sync. Loren Michaels stated he knew nothing about the decision to lip sync beforehand. He was emphatic about that.
Seeing Vinnie chase that guy after the NAMM show at the Spud was 10x better IMO.
