One of the releases was called Let em Cake & there was another 12 ep thingy as well.
Ripped and zipped for the regulars, email addys pls.
Decent band with good music and a TERRIBLE vocalist. Billy was horrible on this stuff, worse on Shooting Gallery, and actually really good with Slum Lords. The guy just needed the right project to fit his voice into.
The Shooting Gallery that was released was not the same one that got signed, if memory serves. I believe it was another case of the band going through many changes due to...ummm...drugs.
Billy passed away a few years ago, right? I'm pretty sure he did.
Shame for Billy, a good band and at least people here remember his legacy.

Cheers Grant - you wouldn't happen to have the cover scanned for this.
I don't Ian, just the links I gave which I made my own label from. Sorry

If there are some Mp3's, i love to have 'em! Save me copying what I have. Many thanks.
Ok grant.
Carl that slum lords it wasn't the band that featured the guitarist from cats in boots was it.
I think it was. Was he Japanese?
Yes he was. Dave Tregunna was in the Slum lords as well I think
Not down the Pub tonight Ian? Or is it a night in learning how to use your new all singing, all dancing computer
Andy
Just making sure I've got everything off of it be for we do a system restore. As for the pub na not in the mood tonight - off to walk the dog in abit and thats me- as me dads just had an op on his knee so I'm on dog walking patrol for the next couple of weeks.
<font size="4" face="Arial">There was a discussion about Billy in old Hanoi- board, where lots of people had heard that he was dead, but if my memory serves me right, there was a guy who somehow knew him, and said that he is still alive.Quote:

Shooting Gallery was horrible, yes. But about it being different band when signing- I haven?t heard about that. Any idea who was with then? I remember that they at least changed their name from Machine Gun Rodeo to SG. Or at least some Andy?s band did at that time.
But still, LA Shooting Gallery were champs comparing to Shooting Gallery that Andy formed when he moved to Finland. Or actually, his manager formed. It sounded like some really shitty schoolband playing for the first time. The singer couldn?t sing at all (even when comparing to Billy!)- Andy fired him quite quickly.
Remembering it still gives me creeps.
Wasn't there a Dogs D'amour member in Shooting Gallery before the album? If memory serves me correct it was Jo and he was also in the vid they did for `House Of Ecstacy`. I could be wrong though... my memory these days is like a fish.
Also... I quite liked the Shooting Gallery album.
I have the Shooting Gallery album on cd which I bought out in LA a good few years ago. Was nt that impressed with it though. I'll have to copy to MP3 if anyone wants it?
I already still have the CD of that Shooting Gallery album. I play it quite a bit still even.
Btw Andy... thanks a million for sending out all the mp3s!!! Good stuff!
I'm with Andii - I quite liked the Shooting Gallery cd.
ANY KCD STUFF WE AINT GOT ANDII ???. .. YA FRIGGIN KNOW I LUV EM !!! ... LOVE SHOOTING GALLERY AND THE SLUM LORDS AS WELL ...
CARL!!!THINGS SEEMS TO BECOMING NORMAL AGAIN, CUZ I LOVED BILLY'S VOCALS FOR THE SHOOTING GALLERY AND I DIDN'T LIKED THE SLUMLORDS'S!!! LOL!!! AND IT'S NOT A REVENGE FOR THE HTM JOKE!!! HA HA HA!!!
Hmm Slum Lords sounds interesting, is it simular to the Cats In Boots albums?
Shooting Gallery was ok.
The one I was sending on only had 7 MP3's.
Lettem Eat Cake was one, I think the other was an s/t.
Grant the one you sent mp3's for was the 7 track self titled. If I remember rightly Let Eat Cake came out before the 7 track one.
Yep Let Em Eat Cake was before the 7 song release.
Raiven... nah nothing like Cats In Boots at all... in fact, I have to agree with Marky on this and say that I too wasn't that keen on Slumlords either.
Kenny... nope mate... I think all that Kill City Dragons released was the Let Em Eat Cake one and the 7 song S/T. Let Em Eat Cake is like a scaled down version of the 7 song affair really. It doesn't have the live tracks if I remember rightly but someone may have some demos?
Was he in a shooting gallery at the time?
LoL
Rich Rags had an on going fued with them for a for few months. Hysterical cat fight it was too.
Them chucking newkie brown bottles at us on stage at the Limelight and us stealing their bass drum pedal and power cables just before they hit the stage.
About six years later I ran into Steeeeev Von Saint and he still brought it up.. the twat!
Happy days!
