They got what they deserved, IMO. And to me, it was the perfect punishment.
Have a perfect run all the way up to the biggest and last game, then *WHAM* you get upset by a come-from-behind victory from what originally looked to be a mediocre team at best.
The play by Manning in which he just would not go down in the last drive and ended up making a huge play, made him worthy of MVP in my book. They played as a team. I believe the entire Defense deserves an MVP award as well..
BONEHEAD award of the year goes to Bellicheck. After all the cheating, smack talking, running up ther scores,......etc....

I'm with you really. I still think the Giants Defense should have gotten the award, but with Eli converting two drives for tds in the fourth for the win, it's hard to bang on him for winning.

The 2006 Gator Bowl VT vs. Louisville, VT comes back to win after playing 3 lousy quarters. Not a bowl of magnitude but still a good moment.
The 2006 BCS championship, undefeated Texas vs undefeated USC.
Superbowl XLII, one of the best games I've seen.

1. J.J.K's girls thrashing James Monroe (27-1) 81-27 to finish PERFECT at 30-0
2. Miami's showing that after the horrible days,the probation,the 47-0 loss to FSU, that you can resurrect,rewarding us faithful Cane fans with another National Championship, hammering Crouch and the Huskers 37-14.

Absolutely probably the greatest upset in Superbowl history. It also ranks right up there with Joe Montana's 4th quarter comeback against Cincy.

1. Niners come back against Cincy (comeback kid 19-16)
2. Patriots awaken a sleeping Giant!! (new comeback kid 17-14)
3. Ravens beat Giants (a wild card team that nobody had hope for ,win superbowl 34-7)

Anyways on to the game, well I was way off....I had the Patriots winning big. Glad I as wrong. i really didnt care who won, but I will say, after Eli threw that last TD pass I was celebrating.
