I can't stand how she usually does her "Well, you're taking new steps" thing with each contestant, no matter if there performances were brilliant or garbage.
I also think that if she doesn't like the overall performance, she desperately searches within herself for a compliment of any kind. ANY kind.
Why doesn't she just come out and say it?

Paula is supposed to be the "nice," supportive one that tries a little too hard.
Randy falls somewhere in the middle.
...And Ryan Seacrest is a completely insincere douche that needs to die in a house fire.
