Hello everyone! It's been awhile. I hope everyone is doing well. Who is going to the Denver show on July 15th? I just got my tickets ordered today and my motel booked and I am psyched! Anyone been to a show at Red Rocks? I hear it's a cool place to see a show. Well, I hope to see some of you there! Peace.
check out the video "U2-Live under a blood red sky" and you can see what red rocks is all about. that was filmed almost 25 years ago and is still a great place to see a live show.
it's the u2 vid that got me AlWAYS hoping to see my favorite band there one day. well... it's about to come to pass. see ya there row 31.

I was on the red rocks official site the other day and noticed that for the SD show, they were talking about another "special guest" beyond what was already announced.

<font size="2" face="verdana, arial">Thanks for the info. All I've ever seen is videos of U2 back from the 1980s at Red Rocks, it just looks so beatiful back then. I got resereved seats, in row 40, which looks like its about 1/2 way back. I hope they are OK. I'm taking my 16 year old son, he seems to think that that should be good enough. He saw Green Day on their last tour and sat way in the back in a big outdoor arena, he said the bank looked like ants to him..... [img]tongue.gif[/img]Quote:

You'll want to park in a lot that is CLOSEST to your seat. Get there quite a bit early and hang out a while. there is always tons of pre show parties in the lots. There will be plenty of S.D. fans to hang out with.
If you have a General admission ticket get there even earlier and wait in line at the LOWER entrance to get in. GA is broken up into 2 sections ( upper and lower ) and the upper is really up there, the place is HUGE ! so you'll want to be closer to the bands ( lower section )so, park in a lower lot. Get it on the parking ?
You guys have fun, be safe, and enjoy the show at Red Rocks. I wanna see pics posted from the show on here.
And we are coming from Santa Fe, which is at about 7,000 feet, so the lower altitude will be nice.... [img]wink.gif[/img] We are actually going to visit an art school that day for my Son to see if that is the sort of stuff he wants to do, but we should be done in plenty of time to get to the show early. He wants to see all the bands, so will plan on being in our seats at least by 5:00 pm.
And since we are spending the night in Denver, we will have time to goof around after the show. Do you think the band will be available after the show for picutures and such with it being such a big arena?

Oh yeah, if you want to get into the area early and have a pre show dinner, the little town of Morrison is right next to Red Rocks and the Morrison Inn has killer Mexican food and even better Margaritas !
As far as pics and stuff after the show ?
They usually hang around for a few after for that stuff but your guess is as good as mine on that one. Have a great time with your son.
Okay deadliner, I made it over here, thanks again for the info. I hate computers, I was almost done with this message when a thing popped up and disconnected me , so here I am starting over again! I'm not clear what you meant on the you tube message about Mike's wife am I right or am I wrong? Yes that's her in the picture or yes that she is in the When She Begins video or yes to both?
I think it is soooo cool that you too are going to Red Rocks. I'm also bringing my 13 yr. old daughter but I purposely bought GA tix so I could get up close. We'll be getting there REALLY EARLY. I think 1st row is handicapped and 2nd row is reserved probably for radio give-aways, so I WILL BE in the 3rd row. I just read some interview where Mike says he really doesn't see past the 3rd row. I'm not sure how far back row 40 is, you might want to bring binoculars. It is a cool place though, I know you'll enjoy it!!
Hey, When Angels Sing is also one of my favorites, your KROQ video is one I play over and over again!! Still would like to get my hands on that video.
