HOW THIS WORKS: This is a poll however I did it as a reply poll instead of voting so that each members opinion is seen and can be read by other GM's.

Under this topic make a reply and state what you would like the two areas of topic above to be. <font color="orange">Remember that these two questions below pertain to GM LEAGUE RULES and there fore must be monitored and 'policed' by the members of the league. Scott cannot place code within the game to monitor these two rules.</font>

Now at anytime you can come back and edit your decision to change it to a new one ... however once we have a suitable amount of GM's within the league a 'DATE' will be posted on the TOPIC SUBJECT LINE and all votes or changes must be posted before then.

Any questions or concerns of how this could be done better please post and we can change it up ...


<font color="red">DL STASHING:</font>
a. Leave it alone
means the DL placement and up keeping will be left as it is in any other league within Simgalaxy.
b. Change it
this means that when a player becomes injured the team owner can use the DL for its purpose which is to place an injured player off the roster in order to make room for a FA to join. Once the player is uninjured he must come off the DL after so many days and can not be left on the DL for an extended amount of time "DL Stashing".

<font color="red">RELEASING OF PLAYERS:</font>
a. Leave it alone
means the releasing of players and up keeping will be left as it is in any other league within Simgalaxy.
b. Change it:<font color="white"> Also choose 0yr only or 1yr & 0yr options to release</font>
this means teams can only release a player on their team if they are on a certain number of year contract. Any player that is signed other than rookies from the draft each season must be kept on the roster until they reach the "release status year", become un-satisfied and depart the team, retire or are traded.

b. Change it- 0 year, if there is a way to release unwanted draft picks.

b. Change it: 0yr only with the option of releasing draft picks within a set time period.

If there is no DL stashing, then there can't be a hard cap. As for no releasing, I think it's an awful rule. Not every pro sport has guaranteed contracts, and Franchise Basketball is one of them.

Change them both.

<font size="2" face="Sylfaen, Verdana, Helvetica">Why not? Player X gets injured, owner puts him on disabled list. Player Y is signed to 0-year contract as replacement. The day after Player X recovers, Player Y is released and Player X is re-activated. The disabled list has served its purpose, and the anti-stashing and contract enforcement rules have both been complied with. What's the problem?
