I am looking to boost the power of my Accord and I was wondering if anyone knows where I can get a supercharger for my car. I considered going turbo but I do not want to be bothered with the maintenance issues and I can't afford another motor in a year. I also dont want NOS cause I know that I'll just end up blowing my engine sooner or later. I inquired at Jackson Racing but they said that if (notice the if) they decide to build a kit for 5G Accords, it will not be out until the Fall. I can't wait that long!!! Does anyone have any suggestions?

I know its not a Teg but there arent any forced induction Accord boards. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

i dont think there are any superchargers for ur car. atleast none that have recieved enough attention that anyone on here would know about it. i think ur only option is turbo, or maybe engine swap with prelude vtec.

Well I really dont like the idea of going turbo. The are too many issues that I would have to deal with like finding the right kit and doing all of the necessary maintenance. I figoure with the electronics and fuel system upgrades that I would have to get I would be looking at 5K and my internals are still stock. The only turbo kit I know of for my car is the Fastrax kit and I heard that they have reliability problems.
I did not know that the Prelude Vtec fit in 5G Accords. How much do you think I would be looking at for the swap including labor? Thanks.

An H22A engine swap would be a good place to go if your looking for complete reliablity. A swap, including labor, is probably going to run you about $4500. It is a bolt in affair with the wiring being the only headache.
From what I've heard, although I have no direct experience, the FMAX kit is one of the most complete kits available, and the most reliable. A properly installed turbo, with regular oil changes and other routine maintainence is going to be relativly reliable.

The H22A swap is probably your best bet at the moment, unless JR comes out with a Kit..you could go turbo...but "PROPERLY" installed kits mean someone who knows exactly what they are doing must do the install and you must maintain it very well and have everything correct...in the end, the Turbo kit will probably cost you as much or more than the H22A swap...but there are many reliability issues when doing a swap to, because you have no idea, usually, where the engine has been and what has been done to it...many times you need to open it up and make sure everything is in good working order...Do some research, lots of research. A swap, turbo, or supercharger are all pains in the asses, but a Swap would be better because you have much more to go on when you have the powerful prelude engine in rather than a Turbo stock accord engine.......for a turbo or swap, be prepared to have 4000-5000 handy.

Thank you for your input everyone. If I'm gonna have to choose between a turbo and an H22A I'm gonna go hybrid. If I'm spending that much $ anyway I might as well go for the Prelude Vtec. Now I just have to find a reputable shop in the NYC area that is willing to do the install.

I have a friend who is also trying to go hybrid in his accord with a prelude motor, especially since he read about that Jackson Sc for the preludes. You might want to contact him, he's been trying to find a good shop for a few months and i think has found one. so he might be able to set you in the right direction. His name is Alex and his email is [email protected]. Just tell him Steve told you about him. I cant wait to see his accord when it is done, especially if he getsthe blower on it too.

Well, personally, I wouldn't trust anyone in New York(shady people), but Performance Factory does the H22A swap....there are also a lot of other shops that do it.....Try Vinny Ten's shop and ask for Ken Itchikawa...tell him Adam Long sent you(guy who bought Intrax springs off of him).....he might be pretty helpful.....but look around and good luck!
