Interesting to say the least.
Dom is a such a sweet guy , but I don't think I've ever heard his playing sound like that. He is the most famous drummer never to record an album though.
His doublebass in the end was beyond pathetic. And the tempo just wandered here and there---everywhere.

Surely if he has never recorded an album throughout his career, he has no right to preach to people all round the world on how to play the drums, especially when his standard is shoddy at best - as demonstrated in this clip.Quote:

Some of the things he was doing was laughable, especially all the theatrics as if he's REALLY in the moment. Terrible behaviour and furthermore, as he is travelling the globe, claiming to be some sort of drumming ambassador, then he's doing more damage to young drummers than good if this is the standard of his playing.
As a last thought, of all the clips that I have seen of him he never mentions the words music, tune, song or musicians. For him it's all about the mechanics drumming. Maybe that's why he never gets invited to play with other musicians??
Not many Famularo fans in here then I guess. Personally, I think he has quite a unique approach to playing the kit, and seems to have a vast amount of drumming knowledge, which would explain why he's in-demand as a teacher. Don't get me wrong I'm not trying to turn everyone into Dom Famularo fans or anything, but I do think that he shouldn't be written off, and classed as a boring player. It's all relative anyway, one man's meat is another man's poison.
