Anyone like Crazyhead?

Been listening to Desert Orchid tonight, what a great album, every song is great. Wonder if any members went onto other bands. Anyone know?

Good cover, who sang the original again?

Vaguely remember this band from Leicester, not far from Coventry. I have an Album and some singles, again stashed away. From what I recall they had a single with a really long Title. Can't remember waht it was called though. Seem to recall they played about a year or so ago over Leicester way??!!?

Yeah That's the one!!! Was a great song.

I played 'D.O.' to death when I first heared it.
The singer's shades-burgandy hair look was quite
glam for the time. 'What Gives...' chorus is still
amazingly catchy to this day.

At the time, I was too young to realise 'Have Love..'
was only one of two covers on it - 'Bang Bang'
being the other one, of course.

If I remember rightly, 'Have Love...' video was
actually a bit band-on-the-road-but-mostly-fuck-
ing-about-in-the-tour-bus cheesy.

Skateboarded a lot to this album.

YES!!!!

Crazyhead were one of the best bands ever, they were incredible live and "Desert Orchid" is one of my all-time favourite albums. I still play it to death. Nice to see them mentioned here...

"Have Love Will Travel" was originally by the Sonics, by the way; the original was featured on a Land Rover advert recently.

As for what they did afterwards - Vom (drums) and Reverb (guitar) were last seen playing in Zodiac Mindwarp and the Love Reaction, Porkbeast (bass) is apparently a university lecturer (!) and Anderson (vox) got a job overseas somewhere, though I hear he came back recently. No idea what happened to Fast Green Dick.

I bought the 13th Floor mini album they released on Snatch records in 1999, which was pretty poor. They also released a cd of early unreleased tracks and demos on Snatch in 1998 called Fucked by Rock.
