My last code item arrived today. I ordered the light-up mules, since all I had to pay was shipping. I was disappointed though, because they don't work. When you press the thing in the heel nothing happens. Also I wasn't expecting them to be such a shiny material...they don't look shiny in the catalog. I don't know whether I should send them back, or if the shipping cost would make it not worth it. If I did a return only and it was defective, would they refund the shipping cost?
Quality control has sure gone down the tube since Mattel took over. I don't remember EVER having a problem with my order with pleasant company. Now it seems like there's a problem with every 3rd or 4th item

The batteries run down quickly in those. I wouldn't bother returning them. I bought 3 pairs of them at Christmas because they matched the blue velour outfit from AGPNY and Therian really really wanted them. It was fun the first night, but then I realized that the slightest tremor would set off the lights -- and Thorfinn jumping up on the table is more than a tremor. At this point none of the lights work. But I think they're still pretty shoes. Just try to forget they're supposed to light up and you'll like them.

Hmm...maybe the batteries died on that bumpy road trip to get here...
They should have a way to replace the batteries or something...I didn't even get to see what the look like lit up.

That's odd. Mine still work, infact mine are senstive to a dolls foot inside them, I can't get them to pause half the time without touching them very gently. Who knows.

We ordered a pair in Decemember and one shoe worked but the other did not. We called and they sent another pair. Again, one shoe worked, but the other didn't. Unfortunately, the shoes that worked were for the same foot so we do not have a complete pair that lights up. We finally gave up and are just keeping the two pairs we have.

I got a pair last week and they don't light up either. I haven't called yet to see what to do.

I think there's a seal or something in the shoe that needs to be broken. Push HARD several times in the heel. I thought mine didn't work either, until I did that several times. Now they work like a charm.
My nieces have had theirs for a year and they get toted everywhere and theirs still light up.

They do have seal on each shoe. We got it off, but still have a problem with the right shoes in each of our sets. Maybe that is why they were on sale for such a great price last Decemeber. Glad your nieces' work great Kimberly

Now that I think of it, one of mine IS considerably more sensitive than the other. Hey - they were practically free, though I'd be miffed if they behaved that way and cost 10 bucks.

Wow! you were right! I tried pushing the heel really hard and they started working. One does work a lot better than the other though. Maybe they need to include activation instructions, cuz I would never have figured that out on my own (I would have been afraid to break it if I pushed that hard)
Thanks for your help!
