Steve Holmes gadd lick clip

Hi, i was printing some cool lick to practice and one of them was the Steve Holmes gadd lick clip, at the end of the clip Steve said that he add 1 right hand on snare and 2 left on snare to fit the lick in 1 bar, in the transcription i made that make then 2 bass drum sixteen note at the end of bar 1 and begining of par 2 which is not what he play on his clip..

No, it should be notated in a total of eight 16th note triplet groupings... [img]wink.gif[/img]

Or better yet, a 16th trip groupg of 9 + 9 + 6... [img]wink.gif[/img] [img]cool.gif[/img]

ei DONU... what program are you using to transcribe? is it cakewalk PA9?

does someone here know a better progam to use
when transcribing drums, CW only has 16th note triplets, I'm trying to learn about quintuplets and metric modulation using it... [img]graemlins/wonder.gif[/img]

The only mistake you're making now is because you can't do the triplet grouping in your notation program. That's a real limitation.

The arrows indicate the last note of each bar. Each bar is 24 notes, which is eight sixteenth-note triplets

tradfreak i use Overture and if i was not able to use properly the triplet function it's because i use this software only since a month and not yet have time to use triplet until now, But he is by Far the most simple and good result looking for drum i ever tested [img]wink.gif[/img]
