Hooray!
After 1 whole entire year of intense & unbearable suffering, my intestines finaly feel better!
All the tests came back negative, who knows what it is. Irratable bowel syndrome? Stress? But at long last the horrible pain has subsided, huzza!
I got some medication, Dicetel, and it worked a little, now I'm on Hyoscine (Buscopan) and the relief is tremendous!
While not entirely pain-free, it's soooo much better Now if I can get my head straight (lol!) I may even go back to work!
Buscopan & T3s for everyone!

Well, this board has covered everything, hasn't it? From pissing in the shower to tampons and now to catgut. We're one of a kind, definitely.

Glad you're feeling better. I don't know anything about the meds you've been taking, but couldn't you've just gone outside and eaten some grass? ;)
-
Uh, er...congrats.
Grass, must fill head with images of grass...

I agree. That thread title, coupled with the happy smiley is one of the most compulsive "must click" links I've seen in years.

See what cat-nip does to you?

Yeah eat some grass, but bake it into some brownies first... I said bake some brownies dammit!!

Oh heaven knows I tried all the home remedies first!
It was too low in the digestive track for grass to do any good. Anyhow that's mostly for hairballs, and this was something else.
Catnip was good, of course, but only offered temporary relief. Sometimes it didn't work at all, you have to be 'in the mood', eh?
Tummy rubs were nice, but often had the unhappy side-effect of gas or immediate bowel clear-out. Both painful & unpleasant to be sure!
Intestine replacement surgery, it turns out, is the ONE thing modern science cannot do! Hearts, lungs sure! Intestines, impossibe
I also tried giving up coffee, beer, spicey food, greasy food, you name it! But all to no avail. I ate lots of brown rice & fish (Mmmm!) but still it was unaffected.
Now a little tiny pill has helped me! Hooray for science! lol!
Stress seemed to be the only thing that had any effect. No stress, got a little better. ANY stress and POW! The lower left of my intestinal track would, um, explode as it were.

He lives in Canada, not California. Some of the stuff coming out of BC can compete. ;)
I know it helps chemo patients, and AIDS victims to combat nausea and loss of appetite.
