Yes,Vain rawked!!!Was impressed!!Got there 2 late 2 c the support band, so can't comment on that.
Oh yeah, and was glad 2 c that so many peeps turned up, as Ian Hunter was also playing that night, so it kinda devided the rock crowd, as it was impossible to see both. Vain is my choice anyday :-)
Had 2 much 2 drink at the after show party, so going to work on Sat morning wasn't 2 easy, hick, but somehow I managed *monkeygirl gives herself a pat on the back*
It was a really good turn out, I raced there after work, and arrrived about 7-30. The place was pretty empty til about a quarter of the way through NGS, then it just started to fill up.
I was really suprised that so many people new who VAIN were, let alone came out to see them.
I was quite surprised how diverse the crowd was as well.
It was a fantastic show.
Yup, Vain were awesome and those punky Notts upstarts were on fire as well. Good to see a lot of familiar faces too (you know who you are!) [img]graemlins/thumbs_up.gif[/img]

Brilliant show, only wish we coulda stayed for the party after.
NGS were fast and punky, barely stopping for breath in their half-hour-or-so set. For me, that was probably long enough, or I would've collapsed with exhaustion. To be honest, I only recognised one tune, Rock N Roll Overload, which I heard a couple of years back, when Ian popped a cd into my sweaty little palms at Rock City.
Good to see Ian back on the scene, after his horrific crash in Sweden last November. He was doing tech with Vain. We spoke a bit and had a beer back at the Fox afterwards.
The Notts crowd were out in force for their daytrip to the capital. Junktion7 legend, Mr JaimzRiot, look forward to catching up with you for another beer soon too. Let us know how your photos came out, and stick them up online somewhere. [img]graemlins/thumbs_up.gif[/img]
