Charlie Q. can kick his ass any fuckin' day on the drums, but I was wanting to know if he ever did anything after Social D., or is he doing anything with his life now. He was a great drummer though.

But I, too, would like to know what became of him.
If I remember it correctly he auditioned singer for a band-project a while ago and a member of this board, shellycrash, tried out for it....but I could be all wrong.

I 3rd that? Anyone?
<font size="2" face="verdana, arial">Sorry I haven't been around here in a while. Yeah, that is true. I'm pretty sure the label behind it was Sony, or Sony was in some way involved. I was slated to try out by the rep, but at the end of the call she said the sound they were looking for was like Alanis Morisette (sp?). That kinda ruined it for me, so I never showed up. it was a while back though, '99 I think.Quote:

This question is asked a lot on various boards because Chuck played with so many great bands. I don't know anything for sure, but most people think he has health problems that keep him from drumming. Read somewhere that Glenn Danzig said he has a knee problem, but again just what I've read.
Thanks for the relies. Chuck Biscuits was good, but Charlie Q. is so much better. And better I mean more well rounded and verstile. Social Distortion's style and Charlie's style complement each other because they are so similar. Plus the direction the band is going in right now is perfect. Chuck played one way all the time. No changes whatsoever. Charlie plays according to what the song call for. Even Ness once said that Chuck didn't even tune his drums right according to their sound guy.
yeah, but the drumming on don't drag me down couldn't possibly be better
I remember reading an article (+ the sleevenotes) that Chuck didn't play in WLWHWT and they had to hire a studio-musician to play the drums.
Yeah that's true. They got Deen Castronovo who's worked with Ozzy Osbourne, Steve Vai to do the drums.
This may be off topic, but what Danzig home video is Chuck in???
