Well guys i dont know where i can really start.
I am having alot of loss of power in my sol. I will go to step on the gass to get up and going and what will happen is im getting a BIG lag in power and then maybe 10 to 50 ft it will kick it like nasty vtech lag is a good way to put it but i dont have vtech. LOL Then if i let the car sit it will just try and die and has a hard time trying to run. Also im having problems with the car trying to crank over so i thought i had a bad bat so i put an other one in it will a good charge and i will still getting the cranking over problems.
So i wanted to know if there is anyone that might know whats going on or at least try to help me fix my sol without taking it to a shop and paying like 100$ an hour just to get bsed around.

for the fuel filter would i get some kind of light on my car? does anyone know how much those cost?

Change plugs, fuel filter, rotor, and cap this should solve any problems you have. If it doesnt you might have a something major wrong. Does it sputter or just bog down? sputter could be miss fire or bad plugs. If when it takes off and the car is running ok does it make minor noises like it is running rough? could be something like a sucked valve and thats bad.

Well it is kind of boged down when i tryed to drive it and then it kicks in. But when im trying to start it and it's cranking it will sputter and back fire. it will crank 1 or 2 times stop then i try then it sputters and fires over.
I was also told on honda's that if you have a bad ground and the bats not taking a charge it can make alot of problems also.
When i was just letting the car run and charge the bat it died like it was out of gass or somting.

Does anyone have the real book on the del sol i might be able to look at and read?????

Don't forget the air filter too. Do the tune-up stuff first and see if that helps the hard starting problem due to maybe the lack of fuel.

The fule Filter sounds like what it could be from the way it is trying to start not getting the gass it needs.

i would try replacing your fuel filter first. if that doesnt fix the problem then start on the other stuff. the fuel filter needs to be replaced every 30,000 miles anyway and it would also be a cheap fix if that the problem which most likely it is. the same thing happened to me so im almost possitive that the problem.
