California is burning as we speak. Anyone here in the line of fire?
Depends on which way the winds blow...I am in Temecula, north of SD. A fire started up here last night and is looking like it's going to merge with the Fallbrook fire. So we are waiting...
My girlfriend lives up in Fillmore, just west of Piru, and the main road, route 126 that goes from Santa Clarita to Ventura is now closed and she is in the line of fire. The sheriffs knocked on her door last night and they were ordered to evacuate. This shit sucks..I live in Garden Grove now and the inside of my apt is caked in dust and ash, and I had all my windows closed too.
I really feel for you guys out there in SoCal. I pray for you and your families and friends. Hopefully the memebers of Social D. will not be effected that bad.
One of my clients is the Convention and Visitors Center in Temecula. Im working there today and Refugees from San Diego are walking in all day looking for Hotel rooms, everything is all booked up for the next five towns... very sad. Also a sad image There is an 80 year old man outside in his 4 door car with all his belongings crammed in there with pillows stuffed in the front seat sleeping with his cats.
Heartfelt prayers to everyone effected by the fires. I just saw that the Mars bomber is heading to San Diego tomorrow first thing. Each drop they make covers 4 acres of land with water.
My folks have been evacuated but recently have been allowed to go back in. They are at the base of the mountains where the Foothil fire is burning

My parents in Tustin are dealing with the same problem. It was bad a couple years ago, but I can only imagine how bad it is right now.
Good luck to everybody.
It's getting better, lots of people who were evacuated are starting to be allowed to return home. A big thank you to everyone who has expressed support in one way or another, and also a big fuck you to all the assholes around the country that have nothing better to say than "it's the fault of the California liberals and their ungodly lifestyles." We are taking care of each other and will rebuild and get on with things, and won't bitch and complain about FEMA and Bush not doing enough, cuz that's how we do it, and it makes me proud to be a Californian.
I hope all of you in SoCal are doing well. It is very frightening to see those fires raging out of control. I have several business associates in San Diego who were evacuated. They are all safe, but at least one has relatives who lost their home. Your in my thoughts and prayers. Stay safe.
