We have a ceiling fan in the dining room. The light fixture has four (4) bulbs. They were all put in at within 2 minutes of one another. All from the same package, and all from the same manufacturer.
But now, one has burned out. It's on the northwest side of the house.
Why?
I'm thinking strange magnetic fields, global warming, ghosts and the winning run by the Bengals, but I could be wrong.
Ponder away and report back.

If the fan spins that way, then that bulb will get the most wind and will end up being blown out first.

Maybe reason snuck into your house and changed that lightbulb so that it would confuse you.

I think it may be a plot by the lightbulb makers.

They make one bulb have a shorter life soi that you'll have to go out and buy more bulbs. [img]confused.gif[/img]
Maybe they did it as a tie in with the gas companies so that you'd have to drive to the store again to buy bulbs, using more gas so you'll have to fill up more often. [img]graemlins/sure.gif[/img] [img]graemlins/wonder.gif[/img]
Yes, it is obviously a devious plot brought forth by the democratic party to make you beleive that it is a plot by the republican party so that you'll vote democratic in the next election [img]confused.gif[/img]
Either that, or the lifespan on the box is an average and that one was the anchor of the group!

The Big Sexy has THE answer to gae's most excellent question. The bulb that burned out soonest was manufactured by a Democrat, while the other three were manufactured by Republicans. That they ended up in the same box is a fluke, probably due to a Democrat line manager.

I guess it depends on what kind of bidrseed you planted.

Once again it takes an expert to figure this out.
There are four lights in the fan. The lights are wired in series so the first light in the circuit receives the most current, illuminates brighter and consequently burns out faster.
Not necessicarily obi-wan.
We have an electrical light fixture with 4 lights in a row attached to the wall in the head. To date, the second from the right bulb has burned out, and most recently, the second from the left bulb has burned out.
