It's been what, five or six weeks since we've had a new episode? In the meantime I have gotten a new 'Dharma' hoodie which I'll be wearing during tonight's episode. I'm not sure I'll watch the one hour recap episode at eight, but I'll probably geek out and do it anyway.
My poor daughter is in the middle of finals this week. She's my "Lost" buddy and I don't know if she can afford an hour away from her studies. She'll probably watch it with me and stay up later. Poor girl. [img]wink.gif[/img]

That was fucking amazing. Eko is one bad mofo and has cojones of steel. I'm totally back into the show and can't wait till next week.
Damn.. and the Lost TV forum has just crashed.
Was it my imagination or were there flashes of images of people in that smoke monster?

You saw the same thing I saw Andy.... In fact, that was the only redeeming thing about said smoke monster. Other than that, I was really really pissed to see it.
I recently got hooked on Lost... I got the season one DVD set and watched all the episodes in 3 or 4 days. LOVED it.
I'd only seen one or two episodes from this season, so the recap was helpful for me.
I really like the Mr. Echo character and his tortured background (although it's interesting that his backstory was fleshed out so much in one episode as opposed to the fragmented method of the first season.)
When I saw the smoke monster, the first thing I thought was... This is a popular show... CAN'T THEY AFFORD BETTER SPECIAL EFFECTS???
Honestly, I was waiting for the "tree monster" to be some kind of machinery or something, until the episode where the trees were actually disappearing INTO the ground.
I hope Lost didn't just "Jump the Smoke". [img]tongue.gif[/img]
I was expecting a big dino or something. Maybe the smoke transforms into various beasts?
The smoke does go with the nano-technology theories out there.
