I know she wanted for her daughter NOW. At the time I did not see her standing beside her Mom.
I think she is like many of us ,she got caught up in the moment.
But when it happen all this happen, I did get MAD.I am just glad it went to a little girl and NOT E-bay especially after the doll was jerked from me.
I'm glad you saw the little girl with the doll in the end. You are right maybe she needed it more. I hope the mom realized what she did too.
DD is home sick today so I had to go to school this morning and get my lesson plans ready for the sub. It was crazy as kids were in for tutoring and I was trying to get out of there. One of my favorite students made a comment about how I had assigned them something yesterday and now I wasn't even going to be there for them to present it. I said I was sorry, I didn't know DD would be sick but I said it pretty snippy. We both immediatedly felt bad. Maybe the mom felt bad too but didn't know how to handle the situation. Your reward will come when you least expect it.

I'm sorry but I wouldn't have handled it like that at all, regardless if it was going to her daughter or not.
Yes, it is good it is going to a child, and will probably have a wonderful home... but that behavior is unacceptable, and what kind of example is she putting before her daughter?
I would have made a fuss and gone up to an employ at Good Will and presented them with the problem. In the end I would have let her little girl have it, but the mom should have been taught a lesson. There are reprocussions to one's actions.
How did she know that you weren't shopping for another child who had lukimia and was in the hospital dying? If she takes this what else will she take, and what will her daughter take with her from that experiance?
There is a limit to turning the other cheek. Someone robs your house you don't just ignore it and assume that they are robbing you to feed their 8 hungry children. You call the police. Sometimes we have to have consequences to our actions.
As for the man who took the donoughts, he deserved you screaming and accusing him of other things.
People should not get away with such actions.

Yes I did tell Frank the manager what happen. He offered to say something but I declined. I just wanted him to know because I have seen this happen when they roll carts out like that. Maybe they need to come up with a new game plan!
I can't say for positive the little girl did see what happen. The doll was towards the bottom of the cart and my guess she was a young three.I agree people need to face consequences for their actions. My heart was convicted to handle the situation the way I felt best.
I totally agree with Miss_Nellie_OMalley. That woman was not setting a good example for her daughter, and it was just plain rude to grab the doll right out of your hand, even if it was for her daughter.
And that man who stole the donuts-that was just WRONG. You were holding it, it was yours. And to steal from a kid [img]frown.gif[/img] ! That's not only rude, that's disappointing.
