I'm really just getting into them I've had Poetic Justice for awhile now but I'm getting into their other stuff alot more lately.
I think they should have gotten alot more credit than they did.
Really good songs and frontman that was vry underrated IMO
Was anyone else into them or have anything to say about them.
I've been a huge Axe fan for a long time as well. Steve Blaze is a great songwriter and Ron Taylor is a great singer. I think the thing that sets Axe apart was their ability to adapt, and pull it off. When all the hair bands were changing to a grunge sound in the early 90's, Lillian released the "Psychoschizophrenia" cd, which was an amazing album in spite of it's turn towards grunge. Of all the crap bands put out during that era (Warrant's "Belly 2 Belly" being the worst), this album is the elite.
Poetic Justice is for sure my favorite though. It's pure hair band pop, which I love!

Love them here too. Saw them twice at The Marquee in '92 and '93. My favourite has to be the Love & War album though. The Live 2002 double album is awesome too.
The new singer Derrick LeFevre sounds pretty good as well, and he's got long hair (Sorry, Ron!). I did hear they were playing a one-off gig in Chicago in March, but there's no details of it on their website.
New album 'Waters Rising' is due later this year.

I've loved them from the Stiff dayz...have the Stiff ep and the s/t and Love and War, I've seen them twice,once was right before the release of Love and War,and once right after Poetic Justice...great shows both times! Criminally underrated band...
I love Love & War, particularly "she likes it on top". great song. I've not heard any of their other albums, are they as good as L & W ?
They're all pretty good, although sometimes the kinda 'religious' direction on some of the later tracks can get a bit much if you're not into devout preachy stuff. That was my feeling with Poetic Justice and Psychoschizophrenia anyway, although both albums have some outstanding tracks too.
I prefer the earlier stuff, and the Live album.
Does anyone know what Ron Taylor is doing nowdays?
Last I heard he was working on a project with Lillian Axe bassist Darrin DeLatte, imaginatively called Taylor DeLatte.
Things have gone a bit quiet on the Lillian Axe front since Hurricane Katrina though, as they are from the New Orleans area.
Not sure how I'll like them without Ron though, hopefully the songwriting stays strong.
