Right now there are a ton of model B parts for sale on e-bay. maybe one of us could purchase a set of drip pan and grates and burners that could be shared by the group that have model b's. if they are reasonable i'll buy the drip pans and grates, send mine off for reporcelain and then pass them on to others wanting to have theirs stuff done. collaboration and cooperation are the way to go.
THAT IDEA DESERVES A PRIZE ! I think it is super, invest communaly and share as needed ! anyone up for a Model c investment club ?
I have one extra burner grate that I would be happy to have become the communal burner grate. I have a BZ so I guess it would fit the C's too? One of the long prongs is broken off about 1/2 way back, but it still works just fine.
Let me know if you want to start passing it around.

Ann, I don't think the BZ's parts interchange with the C. At least, they parts I had didn't.
This is something I might be interested in for a B model.
Any tech stuff we need to be aware of??
Gas and LP.
Are there any differences with the drip pan??

I have burners for both Model B and Model C stoves to donate. I also have 1 Model C grate, although it is cracked - but it still would work fine temporarily. I have no drip pans.
sounds like i should try to get the drip pans. i was also thinking that if we only had two burners, grates and drip pans to share we could survive the short time our goods stuff is away. i think i could cook on two burners. i'm lucky my twell burner was never used so it doesn't need any redoing.
this is coming together. i do have the winning bid so far on the drip pans but i suspect someone will outbid me. i'm home2oem on ebay. i'll see if i can get the twell grate and the other grate. then we'll have a full package for sending our stuff to gigi's for reporcelain. so far we have:
drip pans from treatmaker
burners from robbiequest
grates (hopefully) from kqandmq
i'm focusing on the top of the stove and not the oven plate (mine is in such good shape that there's no need).
home2oem (home to old english mastiffs), we have 2 females.
Don't forget that Stoveman has offered up a set for the Model C too.
Hmmm. Maybe I can put a permanent notice on the Convention site for people to request to "check out" the sets needed. Then the request can go directly to whoever is custodian of the set. The rules should be that the person borrowing the parts pays for shipping to get them shipped to them, then again to send the set back to the custodian.
What say you all? If you like this idea, who wants to volunteer to be the custodians (one for the B set, and one for the C set) ??
