Most online sites have the same tabs, and unfortunately, most of them are incorrect.

Thanks to everyone who replied so far. I do have the live at the roxy book. Like someone else said there are some incorrect tabs, which is frustrating. I think a new thread of tabs that are 99 - 100% correct would be fun. Anyone up for it??
more than 90% of the tabs you can find are incorrect, one way to get some better ones is the 'live at the roxy' songbook but it's also not perfect. Here some wrong power chords there not the mention that all the time open chords are played or a wrong solo.
One easy way to the right ones is to watch alot of SocialD vids LesPaulPlayer would say to train your hearing and your guitar playing
But I think we could start a small chord+tab collection of the songs which aren't played at the roxy in 1998 and are not to find in the roxy songbook. With some discuss of each tab it would be possible to find nearly the correct ones.
<font size="2" face="verdana, arial">haha, very true. Most Social D songs can be figured out by ear with enough practice though. I actually posted a few tabs on this board, but I just don't have the time anymore. Grading my students' papers and other classroom prepwork just seems to consume me these days. But I am always happy to help when I can.Quote:

I do think it would be cool if we could get something like that going here, though. It would be a lot better than the crap tabs you see posted on the net that are horribly wrong.
Allright, any prefered songs for the start, Guitar Gangster?
How about Highway 101???????
Highway 101,
both Guitars: Capo 2nd fret (zero tab means 2nd fret), tune down 1/2 step
Mike plays the rhythm and chorus part:
start: rhythm*:
------------ )----------------------------
------------ )----------------------------
------------ )----------------------------
-(22)-slide-- )-7(4x)-sl.>--4(3x)-2--sl.>-7
-(22)-slide-- )-7(4x)-sl.>--4(3x)-2--sl.>-7
-(22)-slide-- )-5(4x)-0----2(3x)-0--0---5
* I haven't noted the correct strums , it's played with release of the powerchords 4 (4x) and 3 (3x) times; listen to the song to play it right.
Chorus:
cmaj7******************D**********E
-0--------------------------3------------0
-0--------------------------2------------0
-0------------4-------------3------------1
-2------------4-------------0------------2
-3------------2--------------------------2
-0------------2--------------------------0
Boulevards... falling rain. I believe.. joys..
after the chorus slide back to the 775 powerchord
The intro, the outro, the licks and the solo Jonny plays are more difficult, but also old fashioned social d style, maybe lespaulplayer can help .. or we've to wait for a good video from a person who doesn't think that jumping Mike plays it.
