I rented it last night. I heard a lot of not-so-favorable reveiws of it from my friends, but I enjoyed it. Granted, it's no Nightmare Before Christmas, but visually it was great. The storyline could have been a bit edgier, especially since Victorian England is such an easy target, ripe with opportunites. The figures were the last toys that I bought, but I will most likely get the second series when the come out too.
What did you peeps think of the movie?
Not a bad movie - I enjoyed watching it. Wasn't a whole lot of plot or anything, but I was pretty good visually. And like everyone else has said, it's no NBX.
Andy just liked it because it featured someone smaller than he is.

I love it
the DVD had these great extras about how they built the puppets with molds & gears & latex & stuff. They had amazing screen tests of a bunch of the characters. I found out too late about a show in NYC that featured a bunch of Burton's drawings & some actual puppets too. I missed it [img]frown.gif[/img]
One thing I was kinda disappointed in though. When McFarlane announced the CB lineup I assumed the Captain and the kids would have bigger roles than they did. They were were very much throw away background characters.

I liked it. Not as much as NBX, but it was a very close second.

i thought it was great. I loved how the world of the lving was gray and drab and the world of the dead was bright and colorful and people were happy... overall a great movie imo...
