I am new to the group. I acquired my 93 Del Sol by trading it for a 93 CBR 600 crotch rocket. It is in pretty good shape but has some small things that need to be adressed. This is my first Honda although I am not totally stupid to cars(I was a mechanic in the service).
At first I was gonna sell the car but it has kinda grown on me. So any advice or words of wisdom would be appreciated, Thanks............Mike

welcome to the team! how bout you introduce your car a bit more. Color, model, year, etc. Also include what you would ideally want out of the car. That way, we can shoot you towards the right direction...well at least to our own opinions lolz.
Thanks for the replies guys, The car is a Black 93 Del Sol s (I think)with an automatic tranny. The main issue I have right now is the bonehead that owned it before me took the elctronic locking mechanism out of the doors. So needless to say the doors are kinda spaced out...only the drivers side door os able to lock and unlock(anyone got an extra drivers side door lever mechanism hanging around? I would like to make the car a nice little tuner its got a cold air intake already. So I am gonna try and fix all the things wrong with it to bring it back to stock then think about some custom mods. I got a line on some wheels as soon as I get the cash. Thanks again.........Mike
'93's never came with power door lock standard until '95. Most likely you have aftermarket locks installed and the solenoid is bad in the one door. For $20-25 you can pick up a replacement solenoid for it and be good to go again. Easy fix, will have to take the door panel off to check, you may even be lucky and it's just a broken/loose wire or the relay that is bad.

in all honesty...i wouldn't bother tuning the stock motor you have if it is indeed a S model del sol. The best thing fo ryou to do now would be to do a TON of research and study.
School me Playboi......whats wrong with the "S" Model? And I might be mistaken.....the Title says its a 93 Honda coupe DSI???
Ok guys I broke down and bought a Chiltons manual. I have a 93 SI with a 1.6/D16Z6 automatic 4 speed. So any thoughts????

You have lots of options from mild to wild, but if your thinking of going to a manual trans it would be better to start out with a manual one then to modify your present car.
We here are a large knowledge base to draw from for information on wants and needs as most of us have done a lot of mods to our cars so we know what works and what doesn't so you don't waste your money or time.
