J.I. Burton at Castlewood- Castlewood has everybody back, and should be much improved. having said that, they will only lose 35-14.

Powell Valley at Lee- I've heard alot of talk about General improvement. The Gens are going to need home improvement after Phil's crew is done destroying their house. 35-7 PV

Rye Cove at Appalachia-There will be so much emotion at Riggs Stadium. Tom will be on the boys mind, and Eagle feathers will be on the end of the Dawg cleats. 28-6 AHS

Coeburn vs Twin Springs- Ahhh, a CD classic....oh wait, the Knights aren't there yet. Toss up-going with Dockery-21-20

Clintwood vs Grungy-should be a goodun. Wave will take it-yep they have to since they are both Wave, but the pee-colored Golden Showers will lose it 21-14.

Pound at Ervinton- this one should be a doozy. I really like the Rebs. Pound may prove me wrong. 21-20 EHS.

GC vs Richlands - I don't expect that there will be much of difference this year has it was last year. If GC is hurting on Defence with a weak LB corp and DL, they might be along night for them. Richlands 35 GC 13

Burton at Castlewood - It's gonna be a long, long night in castlewood. Jimbo will call the dogs off in 3rd. Burton 49 Castlewood 6

PV at Lee - Some say Lee looks good and some say they don't. It really doesn't matter to Phil and his baby blue crew. PV 42 Lee 12

Rye Cove at Appy - The war eagles will have the hands full against a tough Appy team. This will be Appy first game with Tom on the sidelines, so there will be alot emotions. Just to bad the war eagle will be the first to feel it. Appy 35 RC 13

Coeburn vs TS - It's gonna be alow scoring game. Unless Dockery has a huge game. This could be a future rival within the CD. TS takes the win. TS 16 Coeburn 12

Clintwood vs Grundy - Clintwood should win this one. It may not be an impressive win, but a win is a win. Clintwood 24 Grundy 13

Pound at Ervinton - Pound better not take Ervinton lightly. I see the Rebels coming out on top in a barn burner. Ervinton 28 Pound 26

GC vs Richlands- This game will be closer than anyone expects. Richlands is small upfront on offense and defense. They've also been hit by injuries pretty hard on the Offensive and Defensive lines. It'll be close, but Richlands will pull through with a 28-14 win.

J.I. Burton at Castlewood- Speed, Speed, and more Speed.
42-7 Burton wins.

Powell Valley at Lee- This will not be close, not even for a quarter. PV wins this one 49-7

Rye Cove at Appalachia- With all the talk of this passing game, on a night filled with emotion, Appy will play Tom Turner smashmouth football. 3 yards and a cloud of dust. 42-6

Coeburn vs Dockery- Coeburn will play tough, but fall a little short. 28-21

Clintwood vs Grundy- Clintwood will start the season off strong. 35-14

Pound at Ervinton- My god, I cant believe Im saying this. Ervington will start off 1-0 at the expense of an LPD team. 20-14 (Pound...prove me wrong...dont let that happen)

PH takes down Wise. Wise is still Wise.

Richlands blows out GC. Worst GC team I've ever seen, said the same thing about PV this time last year though.

Norton Blows out Castlewood. Norton has no business scheduling teams like this anymore, their program is above that now.

PV blows out Lee High. Lee High has talent and numbers. PV has talent, numbers, intelligenice, speed, and tradition. Add it all up thats 5 TD's against 2 35-14 PV.

Appy beats RC. Coach turner looks down and smiles on Riggs Stadium. Appy beats the Cove by two td's.

Twin Springs avoids Coeburn's magic this year and squeeks by the Knights with some magic of their own. Late TD by Dockery seals the deal.

Grundy beats Clintwood, the Golden Wave run, run, and run some more. Clintwood's d-line gets exposed in this one.

Ervington beats Pound, probably one of the better games of the week.

true about richlands being hit hard by injuries..they have 6 linemen out as of this weekend. but from what i've read on vapreps they would definitly not qualify as small when healthy....derrick mcnight ta/de 6'5" 275 lbs, chase fuller dt 6'2" 275 lbs (benches 405lbs), shepard kid 6'4" guard 295lbs,zack pruett 6'1"265lbs,brandon compton c 250lbs, joey fletcher 255 lbs......cody vandyke guard 305 lbs..........the best thing going for us is that the shepard kid is the only one that played at bluefield tonight......maybe they won't all play against us
