Glenvar

Does anyone know anything about Glenvar football? I noticed they have only played 2 teams with winning records and their point production isn't that great.

I reckon they are playing roundball now instead of football.

At 9-1 they didn't make the playoffs?

Thanks for the info. They gave Giles a decent game, didn't they? I just assumed they would be in the playoffs.

Giles smoked them 37-0.

All four district champs in region C were from division 2.

The interesting thing about the Giles situation is that according to (I think it was in the Va preps board) if Glenvar had LOST to Bath Co. and finished 8-2 instead of 9-1 Bath Co. would have got there districts auto bid instead of the Div2 that got it. If that had happened then Glenvar not only would have made the playoffs but made it as the #2 seed.

I think I am starting to agree with the call that is starting to rise up for the eliminations of the District Champs Auto playoff birth

the same thing will happen in region d from now on with 4 districts.

I doubt it. Maybe occasionally, but Coeburn is still going to have a dogfight to win the CD year in and year out. This past year they would have finished around 5th.
