Actually, They were down 7-0 bottom of the seventh where they scored four runs. Three in the eighth, and one on the ninth.
Still impressive though.
Go Sox!
my bad got a little ahead of myself haha
They'll be home soon enough anyway with my Yanks.
remind me how much the yanks pay roll is and i dont think they even made it to play in october .
Its the best time of the year for sports. College football in full swing, high school playoff berths are being settled, college basketball starting to practice, NFL getting interesting, but most of all, THANK GOD, baseball is almost OVER!
I told my wife last night that if the Sox came back to win that game, the Rays were done! Let's see if that happens. It has to be demoralizing to a team to have a 7-0 lead in a clinching game and blow it. I know the Rays go home for games 6 and 7, but 25% of those fans will still be Sox fans.
The Rays have their work cut out for them now, facing Beckett and Lester. Beckett hasn't been great and the Rays got to Lester in the last start, but I'd take my chances with those two if I were a Sox fan.
If they pull it out of their ass agin this year then Im really really gon start hating the Sox just about as much as I hate UT, the Patriots, Duke and Jeff Gordon.
Well I am a Sox fan, so I'm not disappointed they won, but wouldn't have expected it. I don't think Beckett is healthy, expect more to come out of that after the season but hopefully he can find himself. The Rays have been playing with house money, they are where they aren't expected to be, so unless they get disheartened, they should still win this, but pressure may get to them, but I doubt it.
It won't break my heart if the Sox don't win though, Rays have never won and how long has it been since Philly won?
1980 I believe.
