Saw Pound's JV team do that same play to Kelly about 5-6 years ago.
Here the same play is in what looks to be Varsity football. The comentary in this video says it is legal but I was wondering if it really is or not.

I dont have my rule book with me here at work, but I believe it is Rule 9.9.3b. Unsportsmanlike Conduct (deception). Action or verbiage designed to confuse a defense into believing there is a problem and a snap is not iminent is beyond the scope of sportsmanship and is illegal.
Thanks Stripes. I was wondering why you dont see that play all that much around here. I am sure Tom Turner would have used it had it been legal in his days.
