UNC @ Duke

First TV time out UNC in control 14-7.

oing to be interesting to see how this one plays out. Duke is being out played as of early. Marshall is a much better fit at point for UNC. He has 3 or 4 assist so far with 4 min. into the game.

Now here comes the calls, UNC isn't going to be able to breath on them without getting called for it.

First, theres no possible way that was a charge, he was in the circle AND he slid under Strickland, giving him his 3rd foul on a BS call

then the call against UNC under the basket when DUKE committed a foul. my oh my, just give UNC a fair shot

Duke struggles with quick guards and athleticisim. UNC is abussing Duke right now; Duke is going to have to start shooting it at a much higer clip to win this game.

Duke is getting smashed inside tonight. They are being dominated by Henson and Zeller right now. UNC has so much talent and athleticism, they are a good team.

but Duke is limited in athleticism. thats their achilles heel and why they cant win without hitting a ton of threes. their lack of athleticism means they live and die by the three, esp without Irving

It will be interesting to see if K goes to a zone in the second half. UNC's dribble penetration has killed Duke and the Heels haven't exactly lit it up from distance.

You should listen to a Duke radio broadcast. That is some funny stuff when they are losing.

You should be at a Duke game when they are losing. That Devil with a Blue Dress On just doesn't seem to roll of their tongue as well.

Up 14 at the half, absolutely molesting them in the paint and on the boards, Duke can't run with them at all. Just play disipllined in the second half like this, limit Duke to one shot like they have been and it's an easy win...just don't get stupid and show your age in the second half, they'll blow it if they do. Barnes hasn't even went off yet either.

I think UNC has to, like you said, NOT show their age and play poised to win. Duke will ratchet up the pressure and try to force mistakes in the backcourt, so Carolina has to counter with great ball movement and poised passing.

I think UNC should stay inside, they are beating on Duke inside. Henson and Zeller are playing like grown men, they have to continue to work hard on the glass and create easy points off rebounds and putbacks.

Barnes will have to come out and be a beast, he needs to drive in the lane and create inside. His skills could really flatten Duke in the second half, with the athleticism driving in the lane and playing long on D.


and WOW! Big words from Gary Williams today, claiming that the ACC is as good as the Big 10 and that he would take Duke and UNC against any duo of Big 10 teams.
