New School Survey

Has anyone completed the New School naming Survey? It is located on the WCPS website.

By some of the rules, which I understand it is to be sensitive to all, they are going to make it really hard to pick a decent school name without it being Wise Directional.

None of my buisness but I filled the thing out myself. For the PV/Appy school I put Wise West Timber Rattlers with the colors Baby Blue and Gold, for Kelly/Pound I put Wise Central Warriors with the colors Red and Black, and for Coeburn/St.Paul I put Wise East Demon Knights with the colors Blue and Purple.

How about the rest of you? What names you all favor?

My submission for the Wise/Pound school that I submitted:

Scott-Powers High school after both communities famous sons George C. Scott and Francis Gary Powers
Miners-after the backbone of our region,the coalminers
Black/White

1. We will not name the schools after any individual.
2. We will not use the name of any current school or mascots within the name.

3. We will not use the name of any of the towns within the name.

4. We will encourage a strong student voice in the naming of the school and mascots.

5. We will encourage a strong community voice in the naming of the school and mascots.

6. We will use this identification for new buildings that may be constructed in the future.

7. We will not select names/mascots that may be offensive to any group or nationality.

8. We will not have any more than three colors per school.

Is that official?
If it is, wouldn't it make sense for it to be on the survey page?

wait... just answered my own question... nevermind.

I threw my 3 suggestions in there. Would be fun if one of them ended up being picked.

Mine was like River Valley High School, the Wolfpack, black and red
