Well I just thought I would post a little bit about the Aussie LP today! I dont really know what to say about the music - except that I loved it (minus track 2, and the track where he sounded like a chipmunk in the first verse LMAO)
Um... was fun! They ordered us pizza for dinner.. highlight of my night LOL Kidding, the playing of the album was obviously the highlight lol There wasnt alot of people there really. They allowed the 12 o'clock session back to the one I was in at 5pm, so that filled it up.
We got the gorgeous glossy promo pic, which Darren had very kindly hand signed (each and every one) and we also got this other gorgeous pic of him, which was signed (but photocopy/signed - which is still cool!) Tracey read out a message Darren had sent her that he asked to be read out too
I had a really awesome day... I loved the album... loved the pizza LOL It was really well organised, and a fab experience Cheers to the f/c!

I'm glad that you had a ball hun. http://www.hostboard.com/forums/ http://www.hostboard.com/forums/
http://www.hostboard.com/forums/ Thinking about it, I really believe that the Aussie LP's were the purest, in as much as they actually were only about the music. http://www.hostboard.com/forums/

I'm glad you had a good time Jen
Thank you so much for your candid review.
I think you might be right Terry. Did the people know that Darren was at the listening parties or was it a surprise?

I think it might've been a surprise at the US lp's Lain (not sure though) but the UK'ers knew in advance that he'd be there.

Glad you had such a good time Jen http://www.hostboard.com/forums/ LOL at the chipmunk sounds!! Yep we had pizza too, not that I ate any of it really, cos by the time we got to it, it had gone stone cold.
Although we knew Darren was going to be there in advance, I had registered and confirmed before I knew he was going to turn up, so I would have gone anyway. It was just the icing on the cake that he decided to put in an appearance http://www.hostboard.com/forums/

LOL well I can't speak for Jen, but ours were a choice between pepperoni (YUK!) and some sort of vegetarian variety http://www.hostboard.com/forums/

Mmm we had a vego one, some pepperoni too... I also spied some ham & pineapple, and other odds and ends chucked on a pizza on one of the table LOL Good to see your priorities in order
Terry, I think you are a right too, and I think I remember Tracey saying something to that effect too - I mean, not that they were the purest listening parties - but thank you for still putting in the effort to show up when we knew Darren wouldnt be there, it showed we were fans (or something like that, I dont remember LOL) But not to say that the UKers etc went only for the chance to meet Darren!! I mean thats obviously not true, and not what I was trying to imply

Jen, that sound great. So glad you had a great time.
For the San Fran lp's we didn't know he was going to be there until the night before.
