Re: Kudos to GW coach Ingo
That proves he is a class act. That is something that has been lost in football. Too many times we allow arrogance to get in the way and forget about the other people involved.
Re: Kudos to GW coach Ingo
OK, I agree with that, but if I am a coach and my 3rd stringers are scoring at will on a team by running the ball, how do I tell them to stop? You cant take knees in the 3rd quarter and the 3rd stringers deserve to get out there and run their offense to teh best of their capabilities.

You don't tell them to stop and I don't think he did. He was just referring to getting his fresh jerseys in early. The backups bust their arses just as hard, and when it's their time you let them do their thing

I disagrree with "the area needs more of this" part.
Care to name names?
How many blowouts have we seen the past couple of years, and now many coulda been MUCH worse?
The only thing I see diff. is that he said it to the media, where most other coaches don't.
As a matter of fact, it ALMOST sounds like a back-handed slap of the other team.

Phil Robbins was notorious for putting it on you when you were down. Turner did it, Saunders did it,and B.I. did it (according to the folks from TS when he was at SP). Need me to keep going and give you some more names? Granted that I have seen folks like Rick Mullins take it easy on folks when it got out of hand, but there have certainly been instances of the opposite
Re: Kudos to GW coach Ingo
powell valley never hardly ever substitued anyone in after 99. granted we havent won state since 98 but we never substitued hardly any even against teams like pound. not to mention JIB dont either even when they are killing a team.
Re: Kudos to GW coach Ingo
To me it only makes sense to substitute. Generallly those seccond and third teamers are the starters you depend on next year. It only makes senseto let them play.

dumbest post yet and you probably have seen JIB play once a season when they play your precious Vikings/Dawgs/Union, whomever. Coach Adams has always taken pride in playing as many kids as possible and takes his foot of the pedal when out of control. There were many occasions in the previous decade that 70 points could have been reached, heck even a couple of times this year he could have ran it up. Get a clue
