There were some old radios that had a horn kinda like that........ may have been a different material, Though. It's been awhile since I saw it, and it was inside the cabinet, not outside.

Strange indeed! I'd love to have them, but not for $2800. There is also a single unit on ebay with a driver for $350.

No tickee, no shirtee. Where's the WE label on that thing? Without it, it has no pedigree. If there WAS a label, it would be shown for sure.

BTW, doesn't make sense in my mind to have that long air column when the mouth isn't really that big. But what do I know...

I don't think they are WE.But I have been wrong before. :wink2: WE didn't make plastic or fiberglass horns in the 30's & 40's did they ? Wood and Metal AFAIK.. Maybe some kind of replicas ? Interesting.

Fiberglass was in use before WWII but never saw a WE in glass...

they look like paper mache horns from early cabinet radio, i just sold an early a radio a while back with a similarly coiled horn.

Yes, these were from antique radios...Grunow/Majestic, maybe? Hard to find a matched pair in one place, I'd bet.
