(OT) Cellulose phragms anyone?

Same premise with gold sales. Whenever the economy goes in the tank all the commercials for gold start up again saying the price is going to go through the roof and it's the best investment on the planet. If it was such a good investment, why are you selling it?

The problem is that those commercials aren't selling gold. They're selling you a worthless piece of paper that says you own gold.................. which likely does not physically exist.

Gold and Silver in their actual physical state will always be, and have always been excellent long term investments. But, to be secure investments, you need to possess precious metals in their physical state, not in "shorts", or certificates, or any other fungible proxy.

Gold is good in lean times fer sure...in fat times other investments can outperform it. Key is be adaptable...one size doesn't fit all.

Oh i certainly agree, especially for the short term return. Now, if i just had the means to put the knowledge to work.:(

so in effect your not buying something with diaphrams. but something with paper that says its diaphrams.

actually, paper that "is" it's diaphragms.;)

In all seriousness, i believe they could sound very good. Paper has made for some awfully good sounding tweeters and extended range drivers over the years, not to mention woofers. It(paper) can certainly achieve a lot of the characteristics we'd want in a diaphragm material.

They remind me a bit of the Korean Hanji paper used to make woofer cones.

couldnt help that one. :) they probobly sound really good. but i can't see 6000$ really good.
