I'm just started getting parts to customize my hatchback and I wanted some advice on what brand of speakers I should put in there...
here is the list of brand names that I'm looking at...
Does it really matter what brand I have for the sound quality or what? I want to go for something that won't break my budget... But has a pretty durablity and quality... ie, the sound doesn't distort when I blast it...

infinity kappa components in 6 1/2's...you can get them on ebay for 170 shipped usually...well i have money i will be getting those and using my amp for them...

i have JBL and MTX in my car. kenwood is always good. it's pretty much all the same any more. it's kinda a joke at the shop to say "what color do you like".

like ami said, i think everything is startin to sound the same, personally i like mtx subs the best, i have kicker tweeters and diamond audio 6.5's in the doors, nakamichi's in the rears and 2 mtx blue thunder extreme 12s with a jvc kdsh99 headunit (by far the best headunit ive ever had, and that is defenitely saying something ) you also gotta think about what kind of music u listen to, different setups work best with diff types of music

I have Sony Explode set in my car. 2 amps, 2 6X9, 2 6X5, 1 cd deck. I choose Sony because it's pretty cheap.. it's definately not the best. For sub I recommend Fostgate. They have some really nice 12 coming out. Mine was pretty good too.. so far it's the best 12in sub I have ever heard.

i have JL 10w3's for subs in my hatch a panasonic cd head unit, and a component set up front, forgot the name, and that does it for me. i dont think i coud handle anymore.

I have the infinity's and they do sound good. I have 6 1/2's in the rear and in the kick panels and 5 1/4 in the doors. The sound is perfect. I also have two 12 type-r subs to back up the highs and mids. It is finally the sound I was looking for, clean, crisp, loud, and balanced.

If anyone is looking for a custom sub box for our hatch I have one cheap. It utilizes the spare tire well and sits just below the rear hatch cover. Its for 2 15' subs and will include 15' purple neon rings. 2.5 Cubic feet per side of box. Been sitting in my basement for a while since I did my subwall. Have to get rid of it though just taking up space...

No rear-view is ok. Eventually want to put a camera back there. You get used to it also...
