camber kit

i was thinkin of gettin a camber kit,,i have a 88 honda civic sedan,,i got it lowered like 2.5 or 3 inches,,is it true that i can only get a camber kit for the rear,,and what will a lower arm bar do? http://www.hostboard.com/ubb/confused.gif

Forget about the camber kit for the rear. Just use washers between the upper link, and the frame of the car. This works beautifully, and its fully adjustable too(just add or remove a washer). For the front, Land Speed Racing makes a very sweet kit. Camber is adjustable, and so is caster. I paid like $150 for the front, and $130 for the rear(anybody wanna buy a rearkit?).

Exactly, the rear camber you can fix for probably around 8 bucks using washers and longer bolts. For the front I would just buy a good name camber kit and have it aligned at a shop. After all this is doen you should have no more problems with eating tires.

The lower arm bar connects the two rear lower control arms. It stiffens the rear and makes it handle as one and not separate elements. Therefore, it eliminates a lot of the flex at the two joints.

I paid $140 shipped for my ingalls kit. It it can adjust camber up to 3 degrees. I have yet to add waqshers to the rear but my question is do you really need to add the washers. Will the tire wear that much in the back with some negative camber ? If you add the washers does the rear need to be aligned again or will the caster be good ?

sometimes you don't even need another bolt http://www.hostboard.com/ubb/biggrin.gif. i ended up using 1-2 washers and didn't need to replace my stock bolt.

it depends on how bad your rear camber is and how thick the washers are.

this camber trick sounds harder than it is. once you start taking things apart...it kinda becomes self-explanitory.

Nobody has mentioned it but you should check the rear toe also after lowering and adjusting the camber.

The Helm manual has the factory settings listed for camber, toe, etc.

you can get rear camber kits off ebay for like $9 plus shipping. or you can get the progress camber kits for all 4 wheels for like $200.
