Engine swap

I did an engine swap on a 1990 dx hatch I put in a 1991 Si for know but its giving me a code 4 how can I fix this and I could only rev the car till about 3000rpm and it doesn't go higher it just stuters after that

OK how can I fix it. Or could I use the DX distributer on an SI motor would it work.

Im thinking your distributer is fried, Not positive though. They are known to go, I had mine replaced last year http://www.hostboard.com/ubb/smile.gif

Though Im not sure about you only going to 3000 rpm. Wheres NC REX?

I am pretty sure the distributors are the same across the 4th gen Civic spectrum (USDM anyway). They are all D-series engines so the distributor should be the same. Also 88-89 Integra distributors I think will work.

Only D16A6 Si Distributor will work on Si engine........D16A6 engines in the following:

88-91 Civic Si Manual
88-91 CRX Si Manual
88-91 Civic and CRX Si Canadian Models - Auto and Manual
90-91 Civic EX Auto Sedan
88-91 Civic RT AWD Wagon Auto and Manual

Have a parts yard to a computer search for an 88-91 Civic or CRX 1600cc engines distributor.

do you guys know what the reving problem might be
