XMen2...hopes?

Not to raise hopes or anything, but I saw this and had to share. What do you think? Possibility?...

Not wanting to be a pesimist, but that's probably just somthing someone put there because of some of the rumors that have been around.

I'm not saying he won't be in the next movie (oh man that'd be sweet!!!), but I wouldn't consider this as any kind of confermation.

They just want to have somthing there so they can get some pre-pre-orders in. (Jumping the gun a bit, IMHO)

The 3 mentioned in this quote are the top 3 choices of the director/producers of the movie. There's a good chance....but it really seems as if all the powers behind the movie favor Beast, unfortunately.

I think the biggest surprise would be if Gambit makes the movie. None of the rumors/actual reports lean in that direction at all. Of the 3, Bryan Singer has mentioned he likes Beat & Kurt but I don't think he's ever mentioned Gambit (a good thing, imo http://www.hostboard.com/ubb/wink.gif ).

Since Beast almost made #1, I really think it will be him. I have been hoping (OK folks, here's we combine our collective consciousness to make it work) it will be Kurt, though.

We should find out soon. They're working on the script as we speak and the actors are just waiting for the go from the producers. It's slated to start filming in March (it was supposed to start filming in January, but reports have it that Fox is getting wimpy again and are waiting to see how Blade 2 performs before they set XM2's budget :P.).
Hugh Jackman seems to be chomping at the bit for it to start.

Anyway, I'm always checking and anxiously awaiting news. I don't want to know plot details, etc. etc. about the movie....I just want to know if our Kurt is going to be in it!!

So if he is, do you think they'll make the actor stand on his toes for the entire shoot? http://www.hostboard.com/ubb/wink.gif I can't awit to see how they figure out those feet.....LOL

If anything, I'll be more shocked to see this tidbit come true than not. It would be interesting if this did indeed foretell the characters in the sequel and we all passed it by as nothing. Actually I read that Beast's new look is Grant Morrison's idea. He said in an interview that he was thinking of the Beauty and Beast TV show that ran years ago.

I can see why Hugh is excited, he's the de facto star of the xmen. I really like Marsden better and I hope he gets more screen time in the next movie.

I would be such a happy bunny if 'Crawler was (one of?) the new mutant(s). I like Beast and I like Gambit (sometimes he's a little whiney, though), but of course I'm rooting for Kurt. Would they make him scaly? (as lovely as Mrs. Romain-Stamos is, those scales bothered me) What would his hands/feet look like? What about the fuzz? What about the tail? Isn't Rebecca Romain-Stamos too young to be his mom? Would he be regressed to being a kid like Rogue and Iceman? I'm sure they could make it work with some creative writing. It would suck if they wrote up a teenage Gambit for Rogue to have an angsty relationshp with. A feline beast sounds interesting. BUT I WANT KURT!!!!!!!!! Squee22 has all the good gossip info. I really hope they put Kurt in the movie, but I'm such a cynic. I may just have to settle for cute little cartoon Evo Kurt.

Ugh, was Morrison really imitating the B&B show? I wish I hadn't heard that...poor Hank!

I think if Marsden doesn't get more screentime in #2 he won't last much longer.

But yeah, Hugh's the man. I thought he did a great job. I would never, ever replace him though I do wonder how Dougray Scott would have been had he not been stuck on MI:2.

The hands seem managable. Hey, the Vulcan greeting, right http://www.hostboard.com/ubb/wink.gif? The feet might be tough---will the actor stand on his toes in some sort of prosthetic on his feet? Sure will develop his calves that way Haha. The tail, I guess, could be added later, I guess, with computer animation.

I will be disappointed if Gambit is in the movie. I just don't think he's much of a character. I want Kurt, I'll settle for Hank, be bummed out if it's Remy.

As for Evo Kurt--go go go! His popularity just may make it so he turns up in the movie. (keeping fingers crossed)

I'll keep you updated with whatever movie info I stumble upon. Unfortunately, it's scarce. Another couple of months, though, and I'm guessing more concrete info will come along.

I think the the technology exists to make a movie Nightcrawler. I've seen alien costumes with the walking on toes kinda feet (the actor is actually on stilts that bend at the "ankle")I think the tail and hands would be really easy too. I'm not sure how they would do the fuzz, though.
