That's Quitely's version of the X-Men...soon to be seen monthly in the pages of New X Men. I'll keep my own opinion to myself for now, to see if you all align with me. What do you think?

Get it off!! Ewww. Am I the only one who thinks Nightcrawler looks like a dog?
That's not Nightcrawler...that's Ma McCoy's Bouncin' Baby Boy...The Beast. Just in case you guys don't know, that's Emma Frost, Wolverine, Cyclops, Prof. X, Jean Grey, and Beast.
My first reaction was- Icky, keep that away from me. My sense of aesthetics have been offended!
After a second glance, I still think the same thing. I agree with MoonBeamDancer. Beast needs a collar and leash.

Is that you there, or just another demon that I meet?
Anyone notice that the White Queen looks like a stripper? (Not to offend anyone on here, if that is their job.)
I wonder just how much body glue she has to use to keep that "uniform" on...or maybe it's just body paint.
I think it looks awesome. Quitely's got a pretty distinct style, so I was prepared for a fairly different look for the X-Men, but to be honest, I think it's good that there's change a-comin'. It's not going to be what we're used to, but I think it's going to be interesting.
Of course, I think the Casey/Churchill book is going to be a little more conservative. But who knows, I could be proven wrong.

Well, I just realized that I sound like one of the Haters over at WhizWorld. I'm afraid that I might judge this book before it his, after all this IS only one sample of the art. However, as a X-book fan, this art really puts me off. I don't like how it looks, and moreso I don't like the changes in Beast's and Wolvie's apppearances. I don't like to jump to conclusions, but with them looking like that, they either have to change appearances in the others or this one has to take place sometime in the future of the other books. Either way I don't like it. I don't like all the alternate futures, and I really don't like on future being told on a monthly basis. I like giving the writers/artists their freedom, but I don't think giving one freedom, regardless of the others, is even close to right. Like I said over at WW, I think that this might lead to Morrison playing tug-of-war for these characters, leading to bad stories and/or fed-up colleagues. Eitherway, bad deal for us.
Well, to say the least, I was certainly "surprised" by the look of this new story. http://www.hostboard.com/ubb/eek.gif
I must agree that beast looks a little too much like a bull dog to be human, but maybe the artist was just having a bad hair day or, err... something like that. I am very curious about this tombstone atop the hill they are standing on. This could lead to some interesting story possibilites, or it could just be another poorly done development.
(I certainly won't under-estimate "different approach" next time).
Actually, they've (Quitely and/or Morrison) have said in interviews that Beast's appearance is puposeful and will be explained.
