I'm asking for a friend because I know Shatzy is a great philosophist. By any chance would you know about this?=>

Friend's Q: What are the strengths and weaknesses of J.S. mills' arguments concerning the greatest good for a diverse and pluralistic society?

uh-oh.. before you ask for 'good' and 'bad' there's the whole moral relativism with the following loss of meaning of good and bad, not to mention that philosophy will never answer what time is, just come up with cool ideas to describe it. At least, that's what i expect.

as zela said, one main problem is how you
determine the values of 'good' and 'bad'.

its a question of how much of an individuals
'good' will you sacrifice for the whole.

and then again, who determines what is good
for the whole?
