I happen to have all issues from 1980 and 1981 (August of 1981 was the last issue before they changed there name to Moving Images and focus to video) except for the last issue is 1980 and the first issue of 1981. Does anyone have these issues?
I'm planning on taking the 12 issues I have, scanning some of the pages, and putting them online for people to see. Is this something people would be interested in, or an I just wasting my time?

In order to finish my endschool thesis ,I'm hardly looking for the more informations on cameras , lenses ( of Beaulieu & Nizo cameras ) & film :
lenses : chromacity ,separation power (resolution) ,vignetification ,ect...
Camera : noise ,frame steadiness ,ect..
film : resolution ,kodachrome curves ,ect...
In old Substandart french magazines ,I did found nothing like thing (only little tricks) .Beaulieu did said me they didn't have made tests on their cameras or lens .
Did you saw any of those informations on Super8filmmaking magazines ?

Justin,
I think that's a great idea. The UCLA library has several bound volumes of issues. I xeroxed quite a few and thought about scanning some and putting them on the web but since you have the complete issues you should do it. I wonder if there would be copyright probs -- probably not since they are out of business, right?

Yeah, good idea.
I have a few issues myself, and there's always something interesting in each one, if not really clever and useful, like the issue on how to do explosions that's in one of mine!
They would never publish that kind of stuff these days!
Really useful stuff though, for filmmakers to know.

Make PDF files of them.

Hey all, well I don't have space enough to make PDF files of all of them, but I thought I would try to intergrate specific articles into my website. And since I don't know what articles people would like to read, I guess I'll have to leave the decision up to me. Anyway the scanning, optical character recognition, spell cheaking, and translating into HTML is taking forever.
Until I have intergrated the pages, you can access them here: http://www.super8mm.org/html/super8f..._magazine.html
Right now I only have Vol8 Num 1 and 2. I hope to have all of Vol 8 and Vol 9 if someone can get me the two missing magazines. I hope some of this is what people are looking for. I saw some interstsing things on making Barney's, Blimps, Optical Printer, and things like that. Much of it's hidden inside articles. You will actually have to read to find what you want. I'll add a search function to the website in due time.
Please let me know if you want to see more of these articles or if I'm just wasting my time!

Hey, Konton. Big thank-you for the super8magazine stuff. The cold-conditions article really helps me alot. I can't wait to see the rest.
To the rest of you, I've lurked in this forum for quite some time. Your devotion to super8 and spreading the knowledge is one of the things that makes the format so much fun to shoot in.
