Cause Im a lucky bastard, my EX Girlfriend is buying me a digital camera for xmas cause she wants me back! Now to me this is fucking cool! and this means i can have my OWN cam to SHOOT whenever I want, is digital and rival to film at all, I was previously gonna shoot on S-VHS, is digital good enough and will i like the results? what are the plus point for digital? any help would be cool! thanks

As quoted in Camcorder User magazine, the main benefit of digital is the vast improvement in the quality of the recorded footage DV cams... record. Depends what else you intend to do, but numerous other features benefit DV cams that rarely appear on other formats. Playback zoom and effects being a good example.
