Ok so like ages ago I jumped around here going Yay! I made it into the musical and then I basically got so busy with it I never mentioned it again, So I thought I'd give an up date.
It has been a bit of a hard slog as we lost our director over Christmas, he had to get a hip replacement.
Luckily we got a really cool director to take over in the new year and thats when all the really hard slog started.
I am one of Reno Sweeney's (famous nightclub singer) sexy fallen angels, Charity, the others are Purity, Chastity, Modesty, Grace and Virtue.
I have seen 2 of our ? 3 outfits in the making as we've had to try them on. One looks like a bit of a James Bond girl silver halterneck number, which actually looks quite good, I was having horrible visions of bustiere tops or corsets (maybe they are saving that as a surprise)
The other costume (for being a bridesmaid) was actually a shock 2 words
WHITE LEOTARD
*faints at the thought*
But wait there's more!
She then attached a lacey bustle to it so it V's in front and floats out the back. I look like the sugarplum fairy. [img]graemlins/angel.gif[/img]
But wait send no money now ,order in the next 10 minutes and you'll receive...
the delightful news that you are going to have to go out and get yourself some white stockings and a suspender belt with suspenders to wear with this lovely ensemble.
So we have the situation of
Sugarplum Fairy falls on hard times and has to get a job at Showgirls.

The principles are really talented and great,things are really starting to fall into place, I'm a bit disappointed the Angels only get to say Hi! Bye! and Hallelujah! but I'm sure all eye will be on us anyway due to our costumes.
I have had to Tap Dance for the first time in 15 years which has bee a challenge, I've actually become so enthused I've signed up for a Tap Class Grade 5 taught by one of the dancers in our show. I've been doing it for 3 weeks and my legs are saying NO! and I struggle a bit but I'm sure I'll get it (I hope)
AS of the weekend rehearsal 12pm 'til 10pm Whoopee! Its really starting to look good, Opening night is the saturday after this one and we only just got into the newly refurbished theatre (er, which they haven't quite finished yet so its a mess) last Thursday So the pressures on.
