And I had a good time, although I drove through some of the 500 forest fires burning up BC en route to Calgary and it was scary. My mom was good, Ein's mom was good, we got home cooking and new socks (don't ask me!) and pictures.
Anyway, video decoder:

Ryan is the guy in the brown pants; he's a friend of ours.
Ein is the redhead with the camera - he was the Art Director and at one point you see him correcting my rendition of Strongbad's boxing gloves.
We took this on the Vancouver seawall one June evening, just down by English Bay. If you walk around a bit you come upon a huge Inukshuk made of stone on a little outcropping there. There's a cement path that loops around it, and that's where we filmed this.
I had the most fun with The Cheat. We are going to send this to Strongbad when the guys have finished editing it, for now, those of you who don't watch the Strongbad emails are going to be confused.

Forest fires are a spooky phenomena. I went with a friend of mine to Clearlake a number of years ago while there were a number of fires going in the area. It's disturbing to see platoons of exhausted firefighters camped out at the public parks. While there were no clouds at all that time of year the sun still couldn't penetrate through all the smoke in the atmosphere. It seemed like it was overcast or something. Ash was settling on the outside deck of the house and I had to use an inhaler because breathing so much of it made my asthma kick in. Surreal.

I clicked on the link and watched it before I even read your post, and thought, wow, this is a cool video some people put together. Then I read your post and had to rewatch it so I could look for you in it. I liked it before but I love it now.
