I'm really not sure if this virus has hit personal computers or not, but I know that it has hit out networks here at work. although, we were able to avoid any problems since we are all computer whizzes around here. anyways,

Read up on the virus
and then you should update your computer with the necessary patches. this can be done by updating all your windows updates (assuming you are running a version of a microsoft OS)
open internet explorer, go to tools and then select windows updates. go through and if you don't want to spend your time downloading all of the updates, at least get the critical and suggested updates that the site tells you to download. follow all the prompts and you should make it through alright.
This is not a plug for my offices website, and it is not a computer knowledge thread, this thread is here for the education of the other hostboard members that post here.

I dunno what the big deal is, I can't remember the last time I updated any virus software and I didn't get shit.
