I just wondered if anyone had ever tried to arrange a fanzine for gy? Maybe if we could do a quarterly or something we could get the message outside the area that we have a fairly large community and that'd give us a chance to get much bigger bands in.
We could get everyone to put stuff in like local band interviews, album and gig reviews, articles...
We could also get adverts from local rec.shops etc to pay for printing and sell em at rock nites.
Don't slate me for suggesting it...i just thought it might bring a little more unity if everyone got together to do something for the greater good?

I wont slate you, i think its a great idea...but im afraid you wont get much support...no one cares anymore.
Its all going downhhill...there is no scene, just a few of us who care and most who it is just a passing phase for.

Raych that is a reaaly good idea. It has been suggested before but, as Pete said, people in this town really couldn't care less. He is also right when he says it won't get much support but some people will be interested. If you want any help I am quite willing to lend a hand just let us know.

It's a good idea but no doubt a load of wankers will put you down for it.
The GY scene website is an ace idea and has good features. Hopefuly people will use that.

what size bands do you want, cleethorpes has had Speedhorn, Capdown, Spunge, One Minute Silence etc.
Lincoln never gets any bands like this, and even sheffield misses out on most tour packages.
