to the TV addicted

I know that Alex watches copious amounts of TV so this question is kind of directed towards him...

Do you find that you start watching TV not because you TRULY LIKE IT but because it's become routine?

I DO NOT WATCH A LOT OF TV...

I quote TV passages because I happen to be on the internet with the TV on sometimes, and it's my way of taking the bastion of the "here today, gone instantly" reputation TV has and giving it a second breathe because some parts of television are heartfelt by those who write it.

The reason I watch an hour to three hours a day is it is an excellent way to take a break from the video editing that I do (insert twisted confused face here)

TV is an excellent form of communication because unlike being married, you can turn it on and off as needed.
(now that is an answer I bet you can relate to)

I've actually been a lot happier since my TV watching got reduced to movies only (we get almost no reception except for some home shopping network). I have fallen in love with Buffy through the 1st series DVD, but since Ski has it on DVD, I don't miss TV even then. My only true regret is having a hard time finding a TV for the Simpsons.

one to three hours of television a day. IS A LOT OF TV! I watch one to three hours a week! I watch more movies but i don't count that as TV watching because i'm not watching TV shows and the fact that you can quote from a multitude of TV shows DOES say something of the quantity of television you view!

i agree with soulfilms.

One to Three hours a day is not a lot, I'm multi-tasking when I watch it.

Going to see Movies then acting like it is better than TV is SNOBBERY.

Very Few movies crack the line of happy-endingville...

To pay homage to a projected image on a giant screen can be way worse then controlling the source of your projection via a remote.

If a TV show has one quoteable line in it, and I find it, that makes me a TV holic...sheesh.

By the way, I strongly recommend "About a Boy" and "Y Tu Mama".
